We combine reusable government trade records with details companies submit about themselves. The two are labelled differently throughout the site.

UK Trade Info — HM Revenue & Customs
UK Trade Info publishes registered business names, addresses, import/export role and months of activity from customs declarations. We select commodity 6309: worn clothing and other worn textile articles.

Canadian Importers Database — ISED / CBSA
The Canadian Importers Database lists major importers for HS 630900 from customs data. We consolidate the 2018–2023 annual editions into one company record with the years in which the company appeared. “Major” means the firms that collectively account for up to 80% of imports for the selected product; an importer may be a customs broker rather than the end user.

What HS 6309 does—and does not—prove
A customs record is evidence that a named business reported import or export activity under HS 6309. That heading includes worn clothing and clothing accessories, used footwear and headgear, blankets, household linen and related articles presented in bulk or bales.
It does not prove that the company is a wholesaler, is currently accepting orders, trades a particular grade, serves a particular destination, or is safe to transact with. We never invent those fields. They appear only after a company supplies them.
How records are transformed
- Download the source from its official publisher and record the retrieval date and licence.
- Select only HS 6309/630900 rows.
- Group monthly rows by business and location, preserving import/export role and activity months.
- Remove likely personal-name records and suppress full street addresses from public profiles.
- Upsert by stable source key without overwriting company-supplied attributes.
- Keep source-only profiles out of search-engine indexes until they have enough distinct, useful information; they remain searchable inside this directory.
Company submissions, opportunities and corrections
Any buyer, seller, importer, exporter, wholesaler, grader, sorter, collector, recycler or logistics provider can submit a profile from any country. A submission is private until moderated. Business email addresses are used for verification and are not published before approval.
Companies can also post a buying request or supply offer. Trade leads expire, are checked before publication, and display commercial fields only—not the submitter's name or email. Responses go to a private moderation queue so contact information is not exposed as a lead list.
Companies may propose corrections, add products and trade terms, or request removal from the profile page. Government-source status and company-verified status remain separate.
